Born from the historic soils of Schoharie County, we are the first “licensed” winery and distillery in the County since prohibition. Premium ingredients are direct-fire distilled for an authentic spirit. KyMar Farm Winery & Distillery never compromises. We partner with local growers in hand-selecting only the best contents for fermenting, aging and bottling on site. Let your great taste lead the way and follow the craft to the heart of Upstate New York, where you’ll discover and savor the homegrown flavors of KyMar Farm Winery & Distillery. We look forward to sharing our quality wines and spirits with you.[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]

Our Team:

Ken Wortz – Co-Founder, Managing Director

Ken is the Head Distiller, Chief Bottle Washer, Floor Sweeper, Product Tester and is responsible for the overall management of the business.  Ken has a BA in Economics from Fairfield University which has not proven to be particularly useful in helping him make world class spirits, he just did that on his own!

Lori Wortz – Co-Founder, Managing Member

Lori brings her experience managing large projects, budgets and government licensing and permitting to the team.  Lori is responsible for federal/state reporting, paying the bills and ensuring Ken stays on track.  Lori is a Summa cum Laude graduate of Fairfield University with a degree in Business Management… which has been particularly helpful in running the business.  Lori is also a Senior Vice President of Development at a regional real estate development and construction firm in Norwalk, CT

Bill Martz – Member, Operations

Bill currently holds a senior accounting position at a multinational chemical company.  This makes Bill the go-to guy when we are trying to mix things without blowing ourselves up.  While we have an in with a preacher, we are not in a hurry to get to the other side.   On the weekends, Bill fills in where needed from sales to bringing in the agricultural products we use in production. Bill is a CPA and Summa cum Laude graduate of Fairleigh Dickinson University with a degree in Accounting.  The education part makes him sound like a boring guy, but we assure you he is the guy you want at your party.

Christy Dahms – Member, Operations

Christy manages our events schedule both on and off site.  A lifelong resident of Charlotteville, Christy is the owner of Charlotteville Realty. Christy can be found along with her husband Joe at many local farmers’ markets, planning for our retail store and selling KyMar products across the county.  As the only native Charlottevillian, she keeps us in the know and between the lines in our own little town.[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]
